Sweat for a Cause!

One of RunBoston's own, Ronak, is part of an exciting team who has founded a company called Sweat For A Cause. The company website invites users to participate in fitness challenges that financially benefit nonprofit organizations.

A few months ago, Sweat For A Cause did a sort of trial month--and I (Abby) took part. It was a great experience! Not only did I feel like I was getting in better shape, I knew that my donation was going to an excellent and worthy charity--Project Nanhi Kali, which works to provide for educational opportunities for young women/girls in India.

From what I know so far, it sounds as though users can not only take part in the monthly challenges, but they can also use the site to fundraise for their own near and dear causes.

Here's Ronak's summary of what the company/site is all about:
Sweat for a Cause believes that physical wellness and social well-being can work together to create personal and global change. To keep in touch with the progress of our project, follow us on Twitter and join our mailing list (by signing up on our coming soon website).
